Hello there! I'm Jon Burnett, a disciple, husband, father, and teacher, currently serving in the US Air Force. My goal is to help others flourish in a life well-lived, rooted in Christ, character, and the common good. To this end, my primary teaching interests are in Biblical literature, theology, and ethics, with an emphasis on the lived reality of the gospel. And for the last seventeen years, I have been incredibly blessed to share this journey with my wife, Courtney, and our three amazing kids.
As I begin my transition into civilian life, I am in search of an internship in secondary or post-secondary Christian education beginning Fall 2024. I currently hold an MA in Humanities (AMU) and an MS in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (AFIT), and am a PhD student at Amridge University (researching New Testament ethics). If you’re interested, check out some of my previous classes:
If you’re a bookworm, here are some of my thoughts on reading well: And if you’re really a glutton for punishment, check out my thesis: Building Character: Positive Psychology and the Air Force Core Values (2017). So, "Tolle lege!" Take up and read! And God bless! |
